Birdwatching Extravaganza

Description

Unlike many other bird tour operators, with the exception of the action-packed, we do not aim to race from place to place in minibuses with the sole purpose of accumulating long lists of birds, ultimately to be forgotten. Instead we try, as much as is reasonably possible within a particular state, to spend as much time as we can searching for birds (and other wildlife) on foot. In this way we generally cover less ground than other tour operators, but we do see far more in the areas that we visit.

Delhi - Jaipur (265 Km),Jaipur - Bharatpur (225Km), Bharatpur - Agra (80 Km), Agra - Chambal (80Km)

Itinerary

Day 1

You are scheduled to arrive at Delhi by early morning and there the representatives from VTS will assist you and you will also get an opportunity to relax and recover after your flight at one of the city hotels. Some impatient wild lovers can join an excursion to the Yamuna River at Okhla, one of the best bird watching sites in urban Delhi.

Day 2

Arrive Jaipur. Transfer to hotel. A/noon city tour.

Day 3

Morning elephant back ride to Amber Fort. Lunch.

Day 4

Morning cycle rickshaw ride in Bharatpur Park with naturalist. Lunch. Later drive to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri.

Day 5

Morning visit Taj Mahal & Agrafort. Lunch.

Day 6

Morning river safari on the Chambal. Lunch. Later drive back to Delhi / Agra / Mathura for ONWARD JOURNEY.
